The absence of war does not mean there is peace.
War is not the worst of human endeavors.
The anti-war people are out again. The disregard what led to the war and focus on the fact that so-called innocent civilians are being killed. They bad mouth the stronger country for its inability to prevent these civilian casualties. It doesn't matter that far more combatants are killed. They consider the death of one civilian to negate any moral justification for the war. This is a lie. It is a lie that is perpetuated and enforced through a warped sense of reality. The term reality used very loosely.
The islamists in Gaza pushed and pushed and pushed until even the bureaucrat Ehud Olmert had to do something. Talking failed. Ceding land failed. Providing food and power failed. The only thing these islamists wanted was the death of Israel. It is written in their terror charters and is taught to their children. Israel could no longer deny this. The rest of the world denies this at their own peril.
The normal human condition, throughout history, lives in self induced fear and bondage. Human beings would rather live in these conditions than risk death in order to live in liberty and freedom. Add to this the modern relativism, and there is nothing worth fighting for, let alone die for.
The epitome of this relativistic cowardice is the United Nations. This is where manipulators of truth and fact meet to chide those of us who are willing to fight and die for liberty and freedom. It is a gathering place for despotic regimes to press their designs on the future of the planet. They berate the successful and claim victim status. All the while they oppress their own people in ignorance and hatred.
There is a mass conflagration coming. The world is on the verge of a serious makeover and it is not going to go the way these bureaucrats want it too. In fact, these bureaucrats will be one of the first to experience the change. They will find that they don't live up to the new standard.
