War is coming. Is Israel ready?

Movement in the north and continuous agitation in the south. Awhile back I penned a piece explaining the strategy that I saw taking place against Israel. It included the actions of Mahmoud Ahmadinjad, Bashir Assad, Hassan Narallah and Hizbollah, and Khalid Mashaal and Hamas. This report in the Jerusalem Post appears to add credence to my speculation.
Hizbullah is trying to cross over the Litani River and into southern Lebanon, despite being banned from such action by UN Resolution 1701, IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi said during Sunday's cabinet meeting.
What is the United Nations ready to do about this? Nothing. They will want to talk some more and make some verbal scoldings then go back and drink their wine and eat their snails. The Islamic tactics are working. They will soon have everything in place for their overall strategic aim; eliminating Israel.
Israel can no longer afford to wait for the west to assist. If Ehud Olmert is not willing to take on this enemy now then Israel better get used to having an Islamic majority and saluting a different flag. How many millions have died to found, defend, and grow this tiny nation? All of these lives will be deemed wasted if Israel refuses to stand up and fight for it's very existence.
Hizbollah is on the verge of taking over Lebanon. As of right now Lebanon is impotent. As for the ceasefire with the "Palestinians":
"Given the numbers, I wouldn't use the term 'cease-fire,'" Ashkenazi said, pointing out that between November 2006 and April 2007, over 250 Kassam rockets and mortars had been fired at Israel.
The world may be allowed to act as cowards but Israel cannot afford to. It is better to die fighting for your life than it is to give yourself as a slave freely.
